Donglin Primary School Visit - May 2013
During May half term Mrs Laraway visited the partner school Donglin Primary School in Wuxi, China.
St Helen’s links with Donglin school started 6 years ago and are still continuing, with both schools benefiting from the cultural exchange between staff and pupils.
This year Mrs Laraway was accompanied by Miss Robinson, the Deputy Headteacher from Cherry Tree Primary School where Mrs Laraway has been an Executive Headteacher since September 2012
During the stay at Donglin School, Mrs Laraway provided training on Creative Curriculum, while Miss Robinson trained Chinese teachers how to teach phonics.
The training sessions were very much appreciated.
Both schools look forward to future exchanges of ideas and cultural and professional co-operation.
