The latest information from the government states that’s SATs will be going ahead during the week of Monday 10th May 2021 to Thursday 13th May 2021. Information regarding how they will be administered will be given at a later date. In view of not being able to facilitate a Parent’s meeting regarding SATs 2021, information can be found below.
During the next two terms Year 6 children will undertake a number of Mock assessments in preparation for the SATs in May. The children will receive marks for the tests which give a raw score, and then a standardised score.
The raw score is the child's score from the test (e.g. 22 out of 50 in the reading comprehension test). Each raw score equates to a scaled score, (22 would be a scaled score of 100 in reading comprehension).
The purpose of the scaled score is to give a banding for all children, nationwide, and a singular target for all children to reach. National expectation is that each child in Year 6 will reach a scaled score of 100 in Reading; Grammar, Punctuation and spelling; Mathematics by the end of Year 6.
